Draper I

A renovation project inspired by the 1950s Hollywood Regency style of design. A modern interpretation of classic luxurious comfort, using bold contrasts of colour and unique materials such as brass, glass and polished wood. We wanted to acknowledge the original architecture of this 1950s-built home, and use elements of the original design to inform and inspire our design decisions.

A japanned black finished flooring set the tone for the rest of the design, creating contrast between accents of black and bold hits of colour. For a work-from-home family regularly meeting with potential clients, a stylish but professional foyer and office space was essential.

The outdoor area draws upon Miami, Florida style for inspiration, redesigned to cater for entertaining all year round. Overlooking a beautiful pool to bring new purpose and functionality to an otherwise unused space.
