In this interior design project, we embarked on the transformation of a charming heritage home with a focus on creating a shared partner's workspace; one creative and the other analytical. Embracing a transitional design approach, we carefully balanced the preservation of the home's historical essence while infusing it with fresh updates. The client's brief called for a neutral palette that would offer a versatile backdrop for their work environment. Our team executed a thoughtful redesign of the existing fireplace, transforming it into a focal point that added both character and functionality to the space. We aimed to create a warm, inviting, and functional openness that allowed all parties to fully utilise the workspace to suit their individual needs, striking the perfect balance between history and contemporary living. The end result was a harmonious environment that celebrated the home's heritage while accommodating the client’s diverse creative and analytical interests.
